Waseca, MN – Brown Printing Company’s Waseca, MN facility today announced that they received the Efficiency Partner Award from Xcel Energy for outstanding efforts in energy conservation. The Waseca facility achieved savings of 4.24 million kWh through the course of the 2008 program.
The Efficiency Partner Award honors leading businesses and trade partners in Xcel Energy’s 2008 efficiency programs. Combined, more than 80 million kWh of electricity and 54,800 tons of carbon dioxide were saved in 2008. That’s equivalent to keeping more than 16,000 cars off the road for a year.
“Brown Printing is proud of our proven environmental initiatives” said Jack Johnson, Environmental Engineer at Brown’s Waseca, MN Facility. “The energy savings and award are the result of diligent and persistent efforts by Brown Printing’s employees.”
