Volker Petersen — President & CEO
Volker Petersen has been a part of the Brown Printing family since 1988 when he joined the company at the RCPC Division in Riverside, CA. Since then, Volker has worked in various roles in almost every Brown Printing and Gruner + Jahr printing facility throughout the United States and Germany.
As President and CEO of Brown, Petersen works with customers and employees to continuously adopt Brown’s service portfolio to deliver first class and value-added services to our customers.

Larry Hawkey — Senior VP Sales & Marketing
Larry Hawkey has watched Brown Printing grow and expand—both as a company and a family—since he started with the company in 1989. When he joined Brown, Larry served the company as a sales representative. After years of building relationships with Brown’s customers and developing an expertise in the printing industry, Larry was named Brown’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He is responsible for overseeing the company’s sales organization.

Dennis Braunshausen — VP/General Manager, Waseca Division
Since starting with Brown in 1978, Dennis Braunshausen has held various positions throughout the company. It was during this time that Dennis developed a deep understanding and passion for the printing industry. Prior to being named Waseca’s Vice President/General Manager, Dennis served the company in various divisions, including Prepress, Facility Operations, Bindery Process Control, Technical Support and Customer Service.

Bill Gallagher — VP/General Manager, Woodstock Division
Bill Gallagher joined the Brown family in 1997 when Brown purchased Graftek Press, where he had started his career in 1975. Bill currently serves as the Vice President/General Manager of the company’s Woodstock Division. In addition to overseeing the daily operations of the Illinois facility, he works closely with Brown’s clients and the Woodstock team to build a state-of-the-art printing facility able to serve the unique needs of each individual client.

Rod Manor — VP/General Manager, East Greenville Division
Rod Manor has been a member of the Brown family since 2001, when he joined the company as the Production Director of the East Greenville facility. In 2004, Manor became East Greenville’s Vice President/General Manager. In his current role as VP/GM, Manor is responsible for overseeing the facility’s day-to-day operations ensuring Brown’s customers consistently receive a memorable experience.

Mark Treat — Chief Information Officer
Mark Treat joined the Brown team in 1988 working in various areas in IT including programming and technical support. Mark has been active in several industry initiatives that strive to enhance the overall print media information supply chain including papiNet, PROSE/XML, and Virtual Proofing. Treat is currently the company’s Chief Information Officer and is responsible for the implementation of technology-based solutions that improve the company’s internal efficiencies, optimize the information exchanges with Brown Printing’s customers and suppliers, and deliver value-added products to publishers and catalogers.

Mike Amundson — Chief Financial Officer
Mike Amundson came to Brown in 2005, bringing with him previous experience as a partner at Coopers & Lybrand and as CFO/COO/Interim President of The Hadley Companies. Currently Brown’s Chief Financial Officer, Mike manages the company in the areas of finance, central purchasing, paper purchasing, and logistics.

Gregg Black — VP Human Resources
Gregg Black joined the Brown team in February of 2009 as Vice President of Human Resources. Gregg comes to Brown with extensive HR leadership experience in manufacturing organizations, like Gardner Denver and Weil McLain, a division of SPX Corporation. Gregg‘s responsibilities include Human Resource strategy and implementation, compensation, benefits, external communication, Human Resource policy development and administration, and talent acquisition.
