 Brown partnered with the U.S. Department of Energy in 2010 and is now recognized as a Save Energy Now LEADER. As part of the partnership, we have set an ambitious goal to reduce our energy intensity by 25% or more over the next 10 years.
Save Energy Now is a national initiative to drive energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. By taking a Pledge, Brown is committed to establishing energy use and energy intensity baselines, and reporting our achievements, changes in energy intensity, and energy use data annually to the Department of Energy. In addition, we have developed an energy management plan that creates steps to reduce our overall energy intensity, thereby lowering related carbon emissions.
