Phil Guido joined Brighton Park Capital as a Senior Advisor in April of 2021. Phil is a senior business executive with more than 25 years’ experience leading large scale, transformation initiatives. Phil has exhibited a consistent, proven track record of helping clients realize business value through the adoption of leading-edge technologies and new ways of working, including hybrid cloud, automation, AI, and implementing “as a Service” business models.
Currently, Phil serves as the General Manager of IBM Services Hybrid Cloud Transformation. In this capacity, Phil is responsible for establishing and executing an integrated, hybrid cloud solutions business model designed to help accelerate enterprises’ business strategies in a digital world. Under Phil’s leadership, Hybrid Cloud Transformation leads with an agile, Garage methodology -- a co-create and co-investment approach, rooted in business value -- all enabled by hybrid cloud business models.
Prior to this appointment, Phil served as General Manager of IBM’s Infrastructure Services business, generating $23B in annual revenue. In this role, Phil held worldwide responsibility for portfolio strategy, go-to-market, operational execution, business performance (P&L) and client satisfaction.
Throughout his career, Phil has held various senior executive positions, including General Manager, IBM North America, and General Manager, IBM Global Technology Services, where he was also responsible for go-to-market, business performance (P&L), operational execution and client satisfaction; and Chief of Staff to former IBM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Louis V. Gerstner Jr.
Phil graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Kappa Phi from Montclair State University with a degree in Economics and a certificate in International Business from the University of Copenhagen. He is a member of The David Rockefeller Fellows Programs in New York City and on the board of the NPower Gala Committee.
